Product information "Xpecia Tablets for Women – Biotin, Zinc & Iron, 60 Tablets"

Xpecia Tablets for Women are a food supplement with biotin, zinc, iron, pantothenic acid and folic acid, enriched with saw palmetto and Ginkgo biloba extract, keratin and the amino acids L-cystine and L-methionine. Biotin and zinc contribute to the maintenance of normal hair. One pack contains 60 tablets of 600 mg each, providing a 30-day supply at two tablets a day.

Hair can be quick to notice when something else is out of balance – hormonal changes, stress, or a diet that isn’t quite covering everything it should. It’s a familiar story for many women. Xpecia for Women was put together with exactly this in mind: one tablet in the morning, one in the evening, both after a meal. That’s really all there is to it.

To be clear from the outset: Xpecia is not a medicine, and it isn’t a DHT blocker in the medical sense. What we can tell you is set out below, nutrient by nutrient – no more, and no less.

Key benefits

  • Biotin and zinc contribute to the maintenance of normal hair – with 1,000 µg biotin and 15 mg zinc per daily dose
  • Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal skin and nails and helps protect cells from oxidative stress
  • Iron contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin, and to normal oxygen transport in the body – 17 mg per daily dose
  • Folate contributes to the normal function of the immune system
  • Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism – 24 mg per daily dose
  • Plant-based extras: saw palmetto fruit extract and Ginkgo biloba leaf extract, plus keratin, L-cystine and L-methionine
  • Easy to fit into your day: two tablets a day, one pack lasting 30 days

Ingredients explained

All amounts below refer to the daily dose of two tablets.

Biotin – 1,000 µg (2,000% NRV)

Biotin is a water-soluble B vitamin. Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and to the maintenance of normal skin and mucous membranes. Biotin also contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism.

Zinc – 15 mg (150% NRV)

Zinc is an essential trace element. Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal hair, normal skin and normal nails. Zinc also contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and has a role in the process of cell division.

Iron – 17 mg (121.4% NRV)

Iron is an essential trace element that often plays a bigger part in women’s daily lives than in men’s. Iron contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin, and to normal oxygen transport in the body. No hair-related claim is authorised for iron itself.

Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) – 24 mg (400% NRV)

Pantothenic acid belongs to the B vitamin group. It contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism. There is no authorised claim for pantothenic acid in relation to hair itself.

Folic acid – 600 µg (300% NRV)

Folic acid is the synthetic form of folate. Folate has a role in the process of cell division and contributes to the normal function of the immune system. Here, too, there is no authorised claim in relation to hair.

Saw palmetto fruit extract (Serenoa repens) – 170 mg

The single largest ingredient in the formula by weight. Saw palmetto is a botanical extract from the fruit of the dwarf palm, traditionally used in hair care. No health claim is authorised for saw palmetto in the EU, so we describe it here simply for what it is: one ingredient in the formula.

Ginkgo biloba leaf extract – 40 mg

Extract from the leaves of the ginkgo tree. As with saw palmetto, no health claim is authorised here, so we make no promises about what it does.

Keratin – 40 mg

Keratin is a structural protein. It’s part of the formula; no authorised health claim exists for it.

L-cystine – 40 mg and L-methionine – 40 mg

Two sulphur-containing amino acids. They round out the formula; no authorised health claims are available for them either.

How to take it

  1. Take 2 tablets a day – 1 in the morning, 1 in the evening.

FAQs

Will Xpecia help with hormonal hair loss?

That’s not something we’re able to promise, and we wouldn’t want to. Xpecia is a food supplement, not a medicine for hair loss. What we can tell you, and what’s backed by the official record, is this: biotin and zinc contribute to the maintenance of normal hair. If hair loss is troubling you, comes on suddenly, or appears alongside other symptoms, please get it checked by a doctor.

I often run low on iron – will Xpecia help?

Xpecia contains 17 mg of iron per daily dose (121.4% NRV). Iron contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin, and to normal oxygen transport in the body. That’s a general nutrient claim, not a hair claim – there’s no authorised claim linking iron to hair growth. If you have confirmed or suspected low iron, please speak to your doctor first, as a higher iron dose isn’t right for everyone.

Can I take Xpecia during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

No. Xpecia is not suitable during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

How long does one pack last?

One pack provides a 30-day supply at two tablets a day. Nutrient intake is about consistency, not individual days – how long you take Xpecia for is entirely up to you.

Can I use Xpecia alongside other hair-care products?

Yes. Xpecia is taken orally, so it fits alongside your usual scalp and hair-care routine.

Gut verträglich, wirkt

Ich nehme es nun einen Monat und es ist gut verträglich. Die ersten Anzeichen, dass es wirkt stellen sich nun ein, die ersten Babyhaare sind zu sehen.

Sehr zufrieden , wirkt wirklich.

Frequently asked questions

We cannot attribute an effect on hair loss after pregnancy to Xpecia for women. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, taking it should be discussed with a doctor beforehand in any case.

One pack of Xpecia for women lasts 30 days. It contains 60 tablets at an intake of two tablets a day — one in the morning and one in the evening.

Xpecia for women contains 17 mg of iron and 170 mg of saw palmetto extract per daily dose. Xpecia for men contains no iron, but 300 mg of saw palmetto extract and more biotin. Zinc and keratin are in both formulas.

Taking Xpecia for women during pregnancy and breastfeeding should be discussed with a doctor beforehand.

Xpecia for women contains 17 mg of iron per daily dose. Iron contributes to normal formation of red blood cells. Whether you actually have an iron deficiency can only be established by a medical examination or a blood test.

We cannot promise an effect against hair loss for Xpecia for women, because it is a food supplement and not a medicinal product. Biotin and zinc contribute to the maintenance of normal hair. In case of sudden or severe hair loss, the cause should be clarified by a doctor.

Hair loss that appears suddenly, is unusually severe, patchy or lasts a long time should be checked by a doctor. That way it can be established whether, for example, a physical cause or a nutrient deficiency is behind it.

Not always. Hair vitamins can differ from product to product in composition and dosage. At Hairfluencer there are both separate formulas for women and men and products intended for both.

Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair. It is part of various food supplements for hair, among other things; more biotin does not automatically mean greater benefit.

Procapil is a cosmetic complex of apigenin, oleanolic acid and biotinoyl tripeptide-1. At Hairfluencer, Procapil is contained in several scalp sprays.
